Visiting more patients

I had another day of visiting  patients in the field today. I first visited a hospice that is opposite of where I'm staying. Pictures of the ARA will follow, which I show only as a reference not to gloat.
The hospice was directed by Dr Kaly. I understood their operation and organization and the flexibility and capacity to service the needs of the public. These hospices I've been visiting are impressive on so many levels. With Dr Dorothy we traveled around Kampala to several patients. (I refrained from photography out of respect for the patients). In the last few days I've come to understand and appreciate APCA's unique directive to advocate and administer, among other things, palliative care to all not matter what their circumstances.
Yesterday was the first full day of work and I started to get a good jump on breaking down APCA's website and seeing what needs to be fixed, altered, rectified and organized. They don't need a whole redesign, but a minor evolution in a practical sense. I will try to make a proposal for the changes next week. Tonite is a big get together for APCA and their involvement with a large HIV/AIDS convention in town this week. It's being held at the best Chinese restaurant in Kampala, who would have thunk.
